On Friday, 08.10.21, an extended scientific seminar on the study of the processes of blood microcirculation (BMC) was held in the laboratory. The seminar was attended by key researchers of our laboratory, involved in this area, research group headed by prof. Nikolay Chemeris from the Federal Research Center "Pushchino Scientific Center for Biological Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences", as well as a group of teachers headed by Doctor of Biological Sciences Svetlana Gavrilova from the Department of Physiology and General Pathology of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.

From June 28 to July 2, 2021 in the village of Divnomorskoye, the face-to-face International Scientific Conference "Radiation and Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves" (RSEMW'21) was held. For the first time, our laboratory organized within the framework of this Conference a new separate thematic section on the theory of transport and scattering of light in turbid media as applied to the problems of biomedical optics.

A thematic issue of the journal "Quantum Electronics" (volume 51 (5), 2021), devoted to diagnostic technologies and biophotonics devices, was released. Our laboratory took part in the formation and selection of articles. The articles presented in this issue do not cover the entire range of research in our country in this area, but reflect some advanced approaches, ideas and technologies that may be of interest to a large part of readers, as well as a wide range of problems that exist and have not yet been fully resolved in the subject area.

On Friday 29.01.2021 at MONIKI, chaired by the deputy Director for Science and International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, prof. E.P. Kakorina, the intramural-distance and one-day scientific-practical conference (seminar) "A new comprehensive non-invasive technology for assessing central and peripheral hemodynamics in patients with a therapeutic profile" held. The event was organized jointly by MONIKI and JSC "ELAMED" and was dedicated to the completion of a two-center scientific and clinical study with a new prototype of the device for non-invasive rapid assessment of vascular complications of diabetes.
